Planning festival builds and hospitality installations

Start with the site and its users

Send a site plan showing available space, access and neighbouring activities. Explain how visitors and staff will use the installation. A decorative branded object, reception area and hospitality fit-out each require different decisions.

Prepare for outdoor use

Ground conditions, weather exposure, fixing methods and technical services need to be reviewed for the proposed installation. Share the organiser’s requirements. Structural assessment, permits and essential facilities must be assigned to the appropriate responsible parties.

Include installation and removal

State when vehicles can access the site, when the installation must be ready and when it will be removed. Agree responsibilities for delivery, placement and any future reuse. The quotation should clearly describe Total Concept’s contribution.
