JORI showrooms coming to life

At Total Concept, we understand that a showroom is much more than just a sales space. It is a place where a brand’s essence comes to life and visitors are immersed in a unique experience. We take great pride in our work for JORI, a Belgian design brand synonymous with quality and craftsmanship. In this blog article, we take you on a journey through 6 different showrooms and share the highlights of our production.

Our journey begins in 6 different cities, each with its own charm and character. In Mechelen, Diepenbeek, Massenhoven, Merelbeke, Meise, and Axel (Netherlands), we have transformed showrooms into true JORI experiences. Each location presented its own challenges and opportunities, but our goal was the same: to create a consistent and inspiring JORI experience.

The idea behind our work was simple yet powerful: to completely transform an existing space with relatively small interventions. In the showroom in Wervik, where JORI’s headquarters and factories are located, we first brought this vision to life.

With high and low walls, custom-colored stucco finishes, louvered walls, and lightboxes made of oak veneer, either naturally varnished or wenge-colored, we created a visually appealing and dynamic space.

In addition to these structural changes, we introduced various eye-catchers, such as a “Zen Circle” (round curtain) and an indirectly lit deco circle that serves as an art piece. Existing walls received new finishes with materials like oak, stucco, or anthracite paint, giving the space a fresh and modern look. We told the JORI story through a timeline and visual materials, supported by three key pillars of the brand. Metal JORI logos, laser-cut from metal, provided a refined finishing touch to the showrooms.

Each showroom has its own unique look and feel, with different floors, showroom styles, and surfaces. The challenge was to create a uniform JORI experience despite these differences. This required not only creativity and craftsmanship but also the ability to convince showroom owners of the added value of our concept. After all, they had to give up a piece of their own identity for the JORI story.

Working with a true Belgian design brand like JORI is a privilege that we at Total Concept proudly embrace. In 2024, we will transform 6 showrooms, and in 2025, another 5 to 8 will follow. These projects are impressive not only because of the tactical additions such as walls and wall coverings but also because of the scale of production. A fun fact: each louvered wall consists of 49 louvers, and with 27 louvered walls in total, that amounts to 1,323 louvers. This means almost 2 kilometers of edge banding alone!

Our journey began in Wervik, JORI’s home base and the location of their factories. Here, we transformed the first showroom, which served as a blueprint for the other locations. This initial project allowed us to fine-tune our approach, ensuring each subsequent showroom reflected the same level of craftsmanship and brand integrity. The Wervik showroom became a model of excellence, guiding our work across different cities and laying the foundation for JORI’s consistent brand presence.

At Total Concept, it’s all about creating unforgettable brand experiences. Our work for JORI demonstrates how small interventions can have a big impact and how important it is to create a consistent brand experience across different locations. We look forward to continuing this success story and transforming even more showrooms into true JORI experiences.
