Exhibition stand design for ORGATEC 2026

ORGATEC 2026 takes place from 27 to 30 October at Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany. The fair focuses on workplace and contract environments. Its 2026 programme examines how spaces support people, collaboration and changing ways of working.

Present an environment, not just individual products

For a furniture or interior presentation, start with the relationship between the products. Decide which settings visitors should see and which pieces they should be able to test. A meeting area, an individual workstation or a collaborative setting each needs a different layout. These are design choices to discuss in your briefing, rather than assumptions about every exhibitor.

Tell us which finishes, colours and materials must remain visually accurate. Lighting, graphic placement and the distance between displays can change how a collection is perceived. Provide dimensions and handling requirements for samples, furniture and display objects before production begins.

Coordinate the stand with the allocated hall

ORGATEC publishes hall-specific construction and advertising-height requirements. Check the assigned hall, permitted height and approval requirements before committing to suspended elements, high walls or signage. The official technical guidelines and organiser approval take precedence over a preliminary design.

Send us your stand plan, open sides, technical handbook and product list. We can assess wood construction, system construction or a combination, with production, transport, installation and dismantling defined in the project agreement. If parts will be reused at another fair, include that requirement from the start.

Prepare a practical design brief

  • Specify the products and workplace settings you want visitors to experience.
  • Indicate where your team needs space for presentations and longer conversations.
  • List screens, lighting, storage and any technical demonstrations.
  • Share existing drawings and the organiser deadlines relevant to your stand.
